Weekend Update featuring Sally, Spidey, and Movies Galore!

I have returned. My mom has officially restricted all internet access from our house, so these updates are more necessary, as it were. So here we go:

Friday: I came home around six or so, skipping the research experiment I signed up for. I feel bad, but meh. What are you going to do? Sally and I got tacos after dropping my mom off at this dinner thing she was going to with two of her old friends (one was Katie O'Connell's mom, who was Mom's friend back in high school, at good old McAuley. Funny how things work out), then came home and ate them while she played Zelda (Majora's Mask). But that in and of itself was funny, because we discovered two very amusing things you can manipulate Link into doing. First, was if you make him kneel and defend himself with his shield, he'll jab with his sword when you hit the B button. It's very amusing to see him "jab jab jab" as Sally and I kept crying out. Then, she put on the Kamaro mask (for those unfortunate souls who have either not played the game, or are not as familiar with it as I, it's the one that makes you do the funkay dance for the Rosa sisters), and danced for them. She then quickly hit the "dance" button next to one of them, and it looked like Link was humping the sister. Well, we were on the floor then, because she ran around humping everything she could find--poles, guards, even those annoying kids that run around in Clock Town. Oh, God, it was juvenile but it was fucking funny. :D Then, she left to spend the night at a friend's house, and left me with the wonders of Snatch. I am getting so obsessed with that movie. Cousin Avi, Bullet-tooth Tony, Boris the Blade (a.k.a. Boris the Bullet Dodger or Boris the sneaky fucking Russian), and, my two personal favourites, Turkish and Tommy. Sally and I even cast some characters as people we knew. I'm Cousin Avi (for more reasons than one), she's Tony, our dad is Boris (which fits him well), James is Franky Four Fingers (I think...), and Boris and Gabriel are Turkish and Tommy, respectively. The guy who plays Turkish, however... *whistles* He cracks me up, anyway. So I watched that and fell asleep around midnight, maybe a little bit before.

Saturday: I slept until nearly eleven-thirty on Saturday, which was a joy. Sally came home about then and played some more Zelda for my amusement, just doing random stuff and humping more random things (*snickers*). At about two-thirty, I ran over to Fisher to use the piano so I'd be ready for Sunday's mass (I didn't know two songs, and wanted to run them once or twice). I ran into Marjorie Schumann there, and we chatted for a second before she ran off and I continued practicing. I left about three, went to K-mart, and proceeded to look for skirts, of which they had about two styles. *sighs* I have about four skirts that I wear with any regularity, but they're all dark. I wanted to get a nice springy skirt, but alas, K-mart let me down. My mother is ordering me a nice little red number that looks rather old-fashioned and comes with it's own petticoat (ooh...), and I just hope it comes in time for McAuley's graduation, so I have something to wear. We'll just have to see. Then, I went to visit my Nana as a surprise, since she lives about a minute away from K-mart. We yakked for a good while, and then I went home, leaving her to search for the lost Christmas photos, so I might have a few recent ones of me. Sally and I got dinner and ordered Moulin Rouge on pay-per-view for the night. I bawled, per usual, and my mind kept floating to Gabriel, especially during "Your Song". But I'm glad we watched it--I needed a cry like that. Cowboy Bebop came on soon after that, and it was Ed's first episode! *dances madly and laughs* That is my second favourite episode right now, and I'm so glad I have it on tape! :D So after Bebop, Sally and I hopped into the car and took off for Walgreen's, because I needed nylons and makeup for Sunday's mass. It was about eleven at night, and we drove like madwomen, weaving in and out of the few cars on the road, laughing wildly. I felt like Jet or Spike for some reason, jetting across space without a care in the world except where I would find my next bounty. We got our Walgreen's stuff, then took off for home, and nearly drag raced these two chicks in a Lexus next to us. They looked about five, and could barely see over the dashboard, and we so wailed on them in our dinky Ford Escort wagon--despite the fact they really weren't racing us to begin with. *shrugs* About an hour later, I went to sleep, and talked in my sleep once according to Sally, saying something about not being able to see and not wanting to put on my glasses. Amusing.

Sunday: Church was at nine, so I got up at about seven thirty to prepare, and got to church about eight thirty to run music with Alan. We gossiped about things, and he told me he's "dating" Tony from Ridge, which is a long story in and of itself. He didn't know how it happened--it just did. But so long as they're happy...*shrugs* The mass went well, sans the mission speaker who drew out every...single...word...and put WAAAY too much emphasis on his "s"es. *sighs* After Mass, I went home, talked to Sarah, and planned when we would go see Spider-man. I watched a bit of Steel Magnolias, cleaned the kitchen, and left for the movie. I was mondo cruising there, it being a trifle warmer than it has been lately--windows down, hair flying, music blasting (Bebop theme, FY OAV closing theme, John Mayer, Alanis Morissette, etc), and all that jazz. I met up with Sar at the theatre, then went in and saw one of the keenest movies ever. Tobey Maguire surprised me greatly--go him! And I love Kirsten Dunst--she's just too cute for words, and a pretty decent actress. I so want to go see it again, but by the end of it, between that and Moulin Rouge, I had this insane desire to be kissed. *sighs* Oh, well, not too much longer. I came home, ate "dinner", and decided to rifle through the old mail. In it I found two important things: a check for $20 from my aunt Maureen for my birthday (which was five months ago tomorrow...grr...), and my credit card! Yes, I have a credit card, to be used only when necessary (like in Sweden and for my passport), and it's really keen looking. Then, James came home and I drove his friends home before taking myself back to school. He drove the car we drove me back with home, I did some homework, and here I am now, back on the internet, trying to make up for lost time. *sighs* I need help, and soon.

So this is long enough. Done for now.
